Meet Mary 

I hold a M.S. in Educational Psychology, Counseling & Development, I consider myself a TurnAround Specialist and MasterMinding Maven®, and I am the author of five books: Make A Difference ...with the Power of Compassion, Attitude Alignment, No Labels No Limits, MasterMinding for a Rich Life, You Are A Success, MasterMinding 101® online course, and Stay Married online course.

My entrepreneurial trek, which has included work with adults and children in educational, corporate and personal settings, began nearly twenty years ago when I started to realize I knew something about at-risk youth that a large percentage of the educators I worked with had not yet discovered.

My special gift was that I knew, intuitively, how to heal behaviorally challenging children. My ability to create for them a sense of community and "belonging" helped them achieve measurably high levels of success, no matter how overcrowded my classrooms were.

I realized early into my teaching career that I had mentally done away with the "bell curve" and the "labels" put on behaviorally and academically challenged children by other well-meaning teachers before me. When, as a sixth-grade teacher, I collected data from previous years of Stanford Achievement Test results, I found that the children arriving in my classroom each year were, on average, a year or two behind their expected grade level. With my determination and guidance, through the elimination of labels and engaging instruction, they not only gained back what they had previously lost, but they achieved an additional two to three years of academic growth on their Stanford Achievement Test results.

In 1988, when I understood the effectiveness of my techniques, I began writing continuing educational programs to assist educators in learning how to heal all of the students in their classrooms who were living unhappy lives and not succeeding academically or otherwise. The results of these programs were even more amazing than I could have predicted - teachers were now armed with the tools they needed to deal compassionately and effectively with difficult children.

One such example was that of a teacher named Ann, who enrolled in my evening PSU Program, Breaking Cycles of Failure - Developing Success, a total of three times throughout one school year because she was having so much difficulty with her class, the parents and with the school's administration. In late October of that year, one of my functions as the schools elementary counselor was to administered self-esteem tests that were required by the school district. The results of this test revealed that 63% of the children in Ann's classroom were "at-risk." A staggering figure. When I shared the results with Ann, she decided immediately to enroll in my evening program (my second job) for credit.

In April, the self-esteem tests were re-administered. The expected norm for significant improvement based on class average was a 1 to 2 point increase.

Ann's class improved by 4.7 points!

Her story is just one of the many I teach from in my Easily Accessible Resources which exemplifies the possibilities of what great good can happen when a person simply learns the principles that work with at-risk youth over the period of 6-7 months.

Through teaching Continuing Education programs, I was building enough real life application and successes through my Breaking Cycles of Failure trainings to become an educational consultant and teach my program in schools throughout the state.

To document my training and so many phenomenal successes, I started writing a book called Healing Today's Children ...and Ourselves - which later became 2 books! No Labels, No Limits and Attitude Alignment.

Then life happened! Legislation was passed in Oregon to cut all funding for school programs such as mine. As a single parent, I needed to create income immediately.

This brings us to what I am known for today: MasterMinding.

I needed help!

I found the help I needed in a spiritual goal achieving system known as MasterMinding.

What is MasterMinding?

According to Napoleon Hill, author of Think & Grow Rich, "No two minds ever come together without thereby creating a third, invisible intangible force, which may be likened to a third mind."

The MasterMind Principle is in play when two or more people coordinate in a spirit of harmony and work toward a definite objective or purpose, they place themselves in position, through the alliance, to absorb power directly from the great storehouse of Infinite Intelligence.

I needed the miraculous given my financial situation. I had a newly discovered passion / purpose coming through me and I couldn't figure out how to achieve my dreams let alone keep food on the table and pay the bills. There were connections to be made that I didn't know how to make happen.

MasterMinding not only brought me assistance and connections in ways I'd never received before, it helped me focus, remain calm and set deliberate, intentional goals that I specifically knew I could not accomplish without spiritual assistance - "Of myself."

So, without a job and literally pennies to live on, I started MasterMinding with another educational consultant and together we met weekly without fail. In our MasterMind sessions we would discuss the problematic areas of meeting our financial needs while growing our businesses, as well as our professional and personal relationships.

Each week we determined our real intentions, set goals and formulated MasterMind requests and then simply believed for each other. Week in and week out we accomplished things that were beyond what we thought we could do. We were ordinary people achieving extraordinary results.

I was learning to bring Infinite Intelligence into the equation of my all the problems I could not figure out by myself. Many people think MasterMinding is about brainstorming and accountability.

It is so much more and this is the reason why I write and teach about it today.

Through MasterMinding, I found myself re-directed - led - into the corporate arena, where I quickly realized that we are all just little kids in big bodies! The principles and strategies I was teaching educators, about breaking cycles of failure, worked in very diverse business environments as well.

I realized that in working with adults in corporations, and teaching them how to heal and deal powerfully with their own lives in and away from the workplace, I would, in effect, be helping children after all. When parents learned how to heal themselves through the principles I taught them, their children would be well. So I found great peace with the fact that although I was no longer working directly in the educational arena, my teaching was having a positive effect on adults and their children alike.

Now, nearly two decades later, I have spoken in every major city in the United States about the power of labeling and attitudes in communication. I've spoken to tens of thousands of people, written five books, and started writing motivational poetry again for the first time since I was 18. My poems have become flash online movies and are available for anyone to watch at no charge and to pass along to others who would appreciate them.

And this brings us to 2006, when I was sent a musical rendition of the Teddy Stallard story. I knew in a heartbeat that it needed to be a flash movie.

I also knew I was about to come full circle because I had a professionally taped a 1-hour Makin' Magic: Increasing Emotional with At-Risk Youth training on video with educators that has been sitting on the shelf of my office for nearly 15 years. It's now available for Teacher Training in our Success Store, Children's Section.

FIRST: I've opened the topic of MasterMinding for a very specific reason -to reference the African Proverb popularized by Hillary Clinton a few years ago:

It takes a village to raise a child.

The miracle of what happens when people come together is that we can change the world.

It takes money, resources and people trained to heal and intervene as needed with children. It takes people who come together with the intention to make things happen. It takes attention to details and intention for continued support systems to remain in place.

7 Steps to the MasterMind Connection™

I SURRENDER ordinary thinking.  I recognize and accept that I desire to add to my own inherent power the sum and substance of the intelligence, experience, knowledge and spirituality of my MasterMind partners to provide amazing ideas and affirmative language to assist me in generating new results now.

I FOCUS the power of my intention to be open to all possibilities.  I dissolve in my mind, and in the minds of all others, any idea that my own can be withheld from me.  No person, thing or event can keep that from me which the power of the creative mechanism of our collective minds – the MasterMind - can conceive of, and bring me in perfect timing.

I DECIDE differently.  Within and without, I call all things past, all things present, all things future, a success.  I release positively everyone.  I am free and they are free too.  All things are cleared up between us now and forever.

I KNOW that, when two or more minds come together in the spirit of harmony, peace and good will, the accomplishment of my goals, dreams and desires will be intentionally created through this alliance, to bring about easy effectiveness, energy and good to all.

I ASK my partner's support in seeing and believing for me what I really want.  I now make known my specific goals and requests, knowing that the accumulative MasterMind consciousness of this group will lift my thinking, shift my receptivity to what I’ve asked for and open my mind to creative solution-generating ideas and language.

I ACCEPT and receive all that I am aligned with.  I give great appreciation to the third, invisible intangible force as it responds, in the ways that are best, to my desires.  I assume the same feelings I will have as my goals and requests are being actualized.

I DEDICATE myself to be of maximum service to those around me, to be a living example of what humanity can be and to practice "harmlessness" in generating peace, love, harmony and good will in my world.  I am grateful and relaxed … and so it is.
